How frustrating is it when you go to the pantry to bake something and find that your brown sugar has become a brick? Well it is so easy and dare I say cheap to make it yourself that you will never buy it again!
All you need is a cup of white sugar (I prefer the cane sugar) and a Tablespoon of Molasses (here I prefer the unsulferated or Blackstrap).
After measuring it into a bowl all you have to do is mix it together with a fork. From start to finish it is only about 5 minutes of work and the taste is AMAZING! It is not only cheaper but the taste is much better and you can make it as you need it. We use brown sugar in a lot of different things, such as in our oatmeal and it is also one of the ingredients in my home-made bread.
All you have to do is store it in an airtight container and enjoy!
